What a weird night! What happened to Aldama? Inquiring fans want to know. Nick Thompson filled in at the last minute to face Mikhailuk, but he was penalized severely on the clock, still, in the end he played valiantly and pulled off a draw from a most difficult game. Things didn't fare so well on the other boards; David Adelberg got a very bad opening from which he could never recover resulting in the only decisive game of the night, in a bad way. Pedram missed a win on board 4 and Rogelio played a very nice game, but Costin Cozianu was up to the task and managed to hold the draw. Arizona suffers it's first (only ???) defeat of the season.
