Expert David Adelberg

USCF 2194
FIDE 2175
David Adelberg is undeniably the top junior prospect in the state of Arizona and is one of the most talented prospects in all Arizona history. At the age of twelve years old David is already among the top players in the state. His rating is third in the country among twelve year olds and has been progressing consistently since he started playing chess 3 years ago.
In 2008, David became the youngest Arizona player to ever win the High School State Championships when only in 5th grade. He also represented the US at the 2008 World Youth Championships by obtaining a Bronze Team medal. In November 2009, he will compete again in this same tournament in Turkey. David was also on the 2009 All-American Team and attended the U.S. Chess School (once in 2008 and twice in 2009) which invites only the top scholastic players in the country for individual training with top Grandmasters.
One of the missions of the Scorpions is to assist and incorporate Arizona’s scholastic community with the team. David is an excellent opportunity to do this.
